Every Hit Leaves a Mark

Every Hit Leaves a Mark

Power is no longer permanent. Stat modifiers and persistent degradation are live in Wilder World: every piece you equip changes how you move, how much protection you carry, and how your loadout performs. And every impact your armor absorbs wears it down.

Underneath it all, this update tightens the systems that combat runs on, inventory, attachments, backpacks, and the HUD, so what you see, what you carry, and what the game records stay aligned.

Survival just got physical.

Your Loadout Has Consequences

Armor and weapon attachments now directly affect performance. Armor can modify shield capacity and movement mobility. Attachments can alter weapon stats. The exact bonus depends on item type and rarity, so every piece has a clear role inside a complete loadout.

You see it all before you commit. Hover any item and its full set of stat modifiers is right there, with detailed tooltips across Loadout and Gear. The Loadout screen shows weapon stats and attachment modifiers side by side, so you can inspect a weapon, see what each attachment changes, and watch the numbers update the moment you swap a part. More protection may cost you mobility, a different attachment changes how a weapon behaves, and the best item is the one that fits the fight in front of you.

Gear Remembers

Every armor piece now exists in one of four conditions: Pristine, Good, Worn Out, or Damaged. Pristine delivers the full shield bonus. Good still works, but below its maximum. Worn Out loses a serious cut of its protection. Damaged gives you nothing.

Degradation happens through combat. Armor wears according to the damage it absorbs, so every exchange has a cost. Surviving a hard fight can leave you alive but materially weaker for the next one. Rarity now buys endurance as well as value: higher-rarity gear takes more punishment, and items with WILD rarity hold out longest. Condition sits right alongside the rest of an item's stats, so you know the state of your gear before you step back into danger.

Damage is persistent. Gear Repair arrives next to close the loop and brings a new question with it: when is a piece worth restoring? Until then, the pressure is the point. Check your stats. Watch your condition. The next fight starts with what survived the last one.

The FORUM Reacts

The FORUM is pushing back harder too. AI enemy responsiveness has been improved across combat: enemies hesitate less, the window between being seen and being engaged is smaller, and weak positioning is harder to escape.

Death Leaves a Location

Die, and the backpack you dropped now appears on the minimap.

What you lost has a place in the world, and going back for it is part of the run. Retrieval covers the full backpack another player left behind: the shards, unbanked MILD, weapons, attachments, cosmetics, and consumables inside it. Replace gear by dragging an item from the backpack straight onto an occupied slot, with cleaner visual feedback the whole way.

One Inventory. One Truth.

The biggest part of this update is the part you'll never see.

Backpack, Loadout, and Stash now synchronize consistently. The game rebuilds backpack displays from the authoritative stored inventory, so stale records can't overwrite equipped loadouts. Quantity desyncs, delayed updates, stack overflow, and incorrect source-stack reductions are fixed. Stack handling respects per-slot limits, and pickups verify quantities before the move completes.

Weapons stay aligned across Backpack, Loadout, and Stash. Attachment compatibility checks reject invalid combos with proper feedback. Secondary weapons correctly run Optic and Barrel slots only. Rarity colors refresh after swaps, thumbnails update, and dragged items stop leaving ghost states behind. The Combat HUD now reads health canister counts straight from the inventory database and refreshes when your equipment changes.

A loot economy only works when every layer agrees on what you own, where it sits, and what you have equipped. This update pushes everything toward a single version of the truth.

The Quality Pass

A broad reliability sweep across the whole experience. The Play button now launches directly into the game. Shard Extraction overlap and frozen inventory states are fixed. Stuck buttons, stale thumbnails, wrong map icon names, and the B-key freeze are all gone. The minimap drops an inaccessible area near the hospital, and custom minimap pathfinding is disabled while Breach functionality is active. Traffic hologram effects are optimized and fire hydrant VFX is updated. Clearer information, fewer broken states, less friction between intention and action.

Satin Passage

Satin Passage was pushed into a release landing next week.

Satin Passage is Wiami's in-game market for listing, buying, selling, and trading off-chain gear during Season Zero: The Invasion. Season Zero gear stays off-chain during the season, with onchain integration planned for the end of Season Zero.

Coming Next

The Wilder World Market gets a feature update, adding listing, trading, and selling functionality. Buy listed items outright, list your own at a price you set, and cancel any listing before it sells. Everything runs through your ZERO wallet with no gas fees: sign in with your ZERO account and you're ready to trade. Listed items are held safely by the marketplace until they sell or you cancel, then return straight to your wallet.

Trading opens first with Wilder Packs and their contents, the Weapons, Wheels mods, and Avatar gear inside them, with more collections to follow.

The Compound is coming to Wiami as your unified starting point. Located in the Trenches, it brings your garage, apartment, and Gun & Gear Room together in one connected space. Drive in, take the elevator up, and display the cars, weapons, gear, Kicks, clothing, statues, and artwork you own.

Everything connects directly to your inventory, with more vehicle bays, weapon slots, display cases, and equipped mannequins to unlock as your compound grows. This is the first step toward player compounds, which will connect to buildings, real estate, and ownership across Wiami. More details to follow with the official release.

In this release, your loadout carries real stats, your gear carries the damage it took, and the enemy carries less patience. Underneath it, one inventory as the source of truth, so every piece in-game is exactly as it says. Satin Passage lands next, the Market on the site follows, and The Compound arrives with the next big game update. Gear up, check your condition, and get back out there. The city keeps score now.

With blessings,

The Wilders
